What is the scope of these trainings?

Participants in International Sexual Grounding Therapy Foundation Year will focus on and revisit three prime developmental ages. First, the ‘Revelation' or Oedipal phase, around the age of 4: when children develop persistent curiousity about their origins, their gender identity and genital difference. Secondly, ‘Puberty' or puberty-adolescence: when hormone changes in the body mean that children are sexually able to reproduce, while still lacking the emotional maturity necessary to properly support the fruits of procreation. Thirdly, ‘Adolescence' or young adulthood: when the search for life partner and mate is of prime concern. The Advanced Year will continue exploring the sexual ages until old age and dying.

Participants will explore and be instructed in the following areas:

• The developmental stages of sexual unfolding in the human being

• The appropriate energetic flows between the heart and the genitals, internally and externally.

• How to free oneself from repeating ‘Oedipal Triangular' relational patterns in life.

• How to achieve a renewed innocence and excitement in the body freed from inherited shame or negative self-concepts.

• How to resolve mother and father complexes and reprogramme one's internal ‘parental imagos' to develop supporting parental models as a basis for support and guidance.

• New insight into parenting problems.

• How erotic fantasies, transference and counter-transference can be understood, detoxified and worked with.

• How to experience oneself in contact with one's ancestors and to be in touch with sources of support to create a better life for oneself and one's descendents

• How the mind can become a depository of shame or over-excitement through cultural ignorance and improper support of our growth during childhood, and how to achieve freedom from this.

• How the cultural taboos on sexuality have fanned our society's fascination and over-excitement with sex while leaving us in profound ignorance of the true nature of sexuality, and how to reoccupy our ‘sexual ground'.
